Today our year 5/6 students participated in a Sharktank. They needed to persuade the ‘shark’ to loan them $30 for their upcoming market day stall. The shark invested in all businesses, proving that their ideas would make a profit.
Save the Date
Over the past few weeks, the students in Years 5 and 6 have been learning about Economics and all the workings of how to run a successful business. This learning will help the students work towards creating their own business, to be featured at a school Market Day. The profits from every business will be donated to the restoration of the St Therese’s Church on Bathurst Island.
The market will be held on Friday the 8th of December from 9:30am-10:30am.
All family members from Year P-6 are encouraged to attend to support our senior students. Students will be invited to bring a specified money amount to spend on this day. Further details about this will follow in the next few weeks.
