National Recycling Week, established by Planet Ark in 1996, is held every year during the second week of November (13th to the 19th November 2023). Kitchen Garden - Junior School Afternoon Tea

On Thursday 23rd November at 2:50 we are inviting families of the junior school students -  to the PAC to view a video package of the Kitchen Garden experiences of Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students. The students will join us in the  PAC. Some of the students will describe the activities they undertook as part of their program. After the presentation, which will go for approximately 15 mins, families are invited to the outdoor kitchen to sample some of the produce  - crustless quiches, lemon slice, strawberry cupcakes, and pizza scrolls. The students will return to their classrooms to pack their bags and will be dismissed from their classrooms at the normal time. We hope you can make it. We aim to start the presentation promptly at 3:00 and be at the outdoor kitchen by 3:15. If you cannot make the presentation, please feel very welcome to come to the outdoor kitchen after you have collected your child from their classroom at 3:30pm. There may still be some treats!

Kitchen Garden program - Prep J

This week Prep J participated in the kitchen garden program making mini crustless quiches. We will share photos next week of all the Prep students making the recipe and investigating the school compost. Next week Prep LR will have their session.

Kitchen Garden - 4PD

On Tuesday 4PD  made easy dough using two ingredients: Greek yoghurt and self raising flour. These were then used as a base for pizza. Students chopped vegetables of their choosing to make pizzas which were devoured. As a garden activity the students used bamboo and t-shirt strips to create support structures for tomato and snow pea plants. Please enjoy these photos.
