From the Principal

Mr Torpey

St Justin’s Primary School acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia's First People and Traditional Custodians of the land and waterways on which our school stands.

We pay our respects to the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, and their elders past and present, as we continue to proudly live and learn on their land.

Dear Families and Friends,

What a wonderful event

Thanks to all who helped make our Fair on the Hill such a wonderful event. Whilst it is a great money earner for our community, we know that it is much more than that. It helps build community and provides an opportunity for us all to get to know others that little bit more. Walking around during the day, listening to the talk, you soon realise that this is more than a money spinner; it’s about community achievement, a sense of pride and a real sense of belonging. Thanks again to everyone.

We’ve received some great feedback - not just about the magnificent performances, beautiful stalls, range of activities that provided “something for everyone” and outstanding food, but people commented on the wonderful sense of community - great spirit.

Thanks again to everyone involved. We should all be very proud.

Welcome Prep 2024

Yesterday our 2024 Prep students had their second transition session. There were obviously very mixed emotions - some very nervous, others anxious whilst others walked in like they owned the place. Whatever the feeling, that's okay and the staff handled all emotions like the true professionals they are, making decisions with their head and their heart. By all reports, many students reported that it was "amazing" and they are very much looking forward to the remaining sessions. Prep 2024 students will be onsite again next Thursday, 23rd November, from 9.15-10.15am.

On Thursday Nov 23rd Prep 2024 parents are back to hear Mrs Carley McGuaran, Psychologist and parent, speak to them about what to keep in mind when your child starts school: how to Thrive, not just survive! (Parents only)

 Follow up Transition sessions:

  • Thursday 23rd November: Prep Transition (9:15am – 10:15am)
  • Thursday 23rd November: Prep Information Evening - Thrive Not Just Survive Carley Mc Gauran (Parents only - 7:15pm-8:45pm)
  • Thursday 7th December: Prep Orientation (9:00am – 12:00pm)

Year 6 Boys fitness session

Today Year 6 boys attended Mazenod for a fitness session. They engaged in activities such as agility runs, sprints, vertical leaps and strength and conditioning training.

A big thank you to Ben Phibbs for organising this special event.

Getting ready for 2024 - Student Information

Once again we ask that all families please consider if you have any new or updated  changes in your personal details - phone numbers, address, emergency contact, medications for students etc. Please take the time to update these details on Operoo so that we always have the most up to date information for your child. All students also received a Students Information Checklist, can we please as these be completed and returned to the office by the end of the school year.  We also ask that you have all Medical forms and Medical Authority forms filled out and up to date. This is especially needed in cases of emergency. Thank you!

As always, thank you for your ongoing support.

School Uniform

Can we please ask everyone to check the names on school uniform. It is easy for a child to pick up a jumper, jacket or hat thinking it is their own without realising it is someone elses.
