SWIMMING

We book in a week of Swimming 12 months in advance and of course it rains…. We have the luck of the Irish!!

The children of Sacred Heart are looking forward to 5 days of swimming with Gunnedah Swimming Instructors Louise Shanley and Maxine Kiellor along with teaching staff to enhance water confidence, safety and swimming stroke techniques. Many thanks to the generous Sacred Heart PTF who are funding this terrific initiative for the week and we are all truly appreciative of your generosity. The K-6 students will be divided into 4 groups and rotated amongst the instructors and school staff so all children will be benefiting from the expertise of these wonderful ladies. We will take some happy snaps of the students during the week and share them with you all in the Sports Report next Monday.

N.B. In fairness to all students (working parents or families who live out of town), if your child/ren forgets to bring their swimmers they will need to remain at school under the supervision of a teacher. We will not be making phone calls.

If for any reason your child is unable to swim, please ensure that the reason is emailed or sent into the office. Students not swimming will remain at school under teacher supervision.
