Bike Education

Students in Year 4 participated in Bike Education last week. Each class had a day learning about bikes and ways to be safer when riding a bike. Students enjoyed the opportunity to practise and build some bike handling skills like braking, changing gears and manoeuvring around obstacles. On Friday, students enjoyed a ride out to Diamond Creek. It was great to see students use the skills they had learnt during the week like keeping to the left, communicating obstacles or when they were slowing or stopping. This helped everyone (including other community members) enjoy their ride on the trail. A big thank you to the parents that came along to support the bike ride.

Tennis

On the 8th of December Year 5 students will visit Eltham Tennis Club to play some tennis. The details for this event will be posted on Compass. As this event comes under a local excursion, extra permission is not required. Please make sure all medical information is up to date and if your child has asthma they will need to carry Ventolin with them. We ask that you encourage and support your child to apply sun smart strategies on this day. We will require parent helpers for this event. Please let Kristian (Kristian.bain@education.vic.gov.au) know if you can help out.
