150 Year Assembly

150 Year Assembly

Thanks to everyone who came along to our 150 Year Assembly, hosted by Zaineb and Archer, our wonderful SRC representatives. We had a Welcome to Country smoking ceremony and every student and guest was presented with a special 150 Year Lee St pin to remember our school in years to come. We learnt about the history of the school from the Secretary of the Department of Education, Jenny Atta, and heard some entertaining anecdotes from ex-student Geoff Conway. The senior recorder ensemble treated us to their rendition of Barbie Girl.  We had a few past students join us and they were all very excited to be here and visit their old school and take a trip down memory lane, perusing through the many photos in the hall and finding themselves in them. We then held a morning tea in the library and heard lots of stories from back in the day.

Thanks so much to Dina for putting together all the old photos from the archives and to all the amazing parents who brought in morning tea offerings without even being asked. We are so lucky to have you all.
