From the Assistant Principal.
Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that we are already more than half way through the term. It has been such a busy term, culminating this week with our Book Week celebrations. It was great to see so many students dressed as their favourite book character for today's parade.
TURNING CIRCLE REMINDERS
Please adhere to the following to ensure the afternoon turning circle runs smoothly.
- All vehicles should turn LEFT ONLY from Belmont St into Flora St in the afternoons. This helps to ease congestion and keep the traffic flowing in one direction.
- Students should only enter vehicles from the left hand side. It is good practice to place bags in the front of the car (by having windows down) and students in the back. Again, this is to ensure things move quickly and efficiently. Students should also be able to do up their own seatbelts.
- Please have names clearly labelled on windscreen so that names can be called quickly.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
Please ensure all students are wearing the correct uniform. The staff of St Patrick’s take a positive approach to the wearing of the correct school uniform and constantly encourage students to be wearing their uniform correctly. Students who are not wearing correct school uniform will be reminded of what the correct uniform is. A Compass notification may go out to parents of a student who is continually wearing the incorrect uniform. This includes appropriate hairstyles for both boys and girls. All hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back with hair ties. We do not encourage extremes haircuts.
If there is a reason why your child is not in the correct uniform, please send a note to your child's class teacher or an email to our info address to explain.
As the weather starts to become warmer, students may move between winter and summer uniform depending on the forecast.
Please ensure all uniform items, including jumpers, jackets and hats are labelled.
SASKIA WEST WORKSHOP - Bullyproofing your child
Saskia West will be running a workshop on Monday 11 September at 6.00pm entitled Bullyproofing your child. More details to come.
Have a great week,
