FOOTY & SPORT COLOURS DAY

-next Friday 15th Sept

We look forward to seeing everyone dressed up in their favourite sports colours next Friday - the last day of term!  To celebrate National Health and Physical Education Day our Sports Leaders are also going to hold some optional sports challenges over lunchtime for our P-2’s and 3-6’s.  Please note: Dressing in sports colours is optional.

REQUEST:

RETURN OF ALL BORROWED SF SPORTS TOPS

Year 3-6’s:  Please take the time to look through your child’s wardrobes, under their beds, behind their bedroom door for our blue, green and yellow jerseys, singlets and tops!  There are still some unaccounted for, especially from the Dad’s game last weekend.  Please cold wash, air dry them and get your child to pass them back into the office tomorrow.  Thank you!

PICKLEBALL ANYONE?

This week our Year 3-6 PE classes have been treated to an introductory session of the fast-growing sport of Pickleball.  Mrs Allen and Mrs Thompson arranged for coaches from Elsternwick Park Tennis Centre to come along and teach students a little of the history and skills of this fun game.  Our students really enjoyed learning the skills and rules and had a lot of fun rallying away with their peers.

If anyone is keen to take up the sport, ETPC is offering free lessons until the end of term; please contact them if your child or yourself are interested in learning and playing this great sport!

BASKETBALL 3v3 TOURNAMENT

Our Nagle Sports Leaders have been busy over the past two weeks running an 3v3 basketball tournament at recess times with our Year 5&6’s.  It’s been a great experience for them; learning how to promote the event, create teams, schedules and ensure equipment and court space is available.  Well done to James, Isla and Mischa for their efforts in running this tournament and well done to all players that participated.
