DSC Futsal Franc Brogno Cup

The Round Robin competition for the 2023 DSC Senior Futsal Tournament started yesterday. Six teams will battle it out every Monday at lunchtime in the Stadium over the coming weeks. Come along and support your favourite team!

World Challenge Nepal Camp

Our Year 10 and Year 11 students will be embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and heading over to Nepal in Term 4 to deliver a community service project!  World Challenge Australia is facilitating a Nepalese camp for our students with the objective of expanding their perspectives of the world and fostering global citizenship through cultural immersion.

Prior to the camp, our students will be hosting a fun night of trivia, games and prizes, with all money raised going towards the community they are visiting.  Food and drink will be available to purchase and this too will contribute towards the Nepalese community.

Speaking 4 the Planet Competition

The S4P competition gives you a chance to step up and speak up about your concerns, your hopes and dreams and ideas, about the work that needs to be done to create a healthy, sustainable world.

The Sustainable Development Goal chosen by the Manningham Council is ‘Sustainable Consumption and Production’. The competition invites you to think about how you can help bring about such a world. Participants are invited to prepare and deliver punchy, quirky, creative, and pointed submissions.

Submissions can be visual, writing or performance. They should seek to influence the thoughts, emotions, and actions of the audience. Use this S4P opportunity to speak through your words, your art, your performance and tell the world what you think needs to happen.

For more information please visit: https://speaking4theplanet.org.au/australia-2023-edge-of-the-future/

The judging criteria can be found under the resources tab. Closing date is the 28 August. Come along with your ideas and inspiration to the Art Club on Tuesdays or the Environmental Club on Thursdays in B3.
