RU OK Day is one of National Awareness for mental well-being. A day and a time to stop and genuinely ask each other how we are travelling along life’s road.

As Christians we have the example of Jesus and his mother Mary who were companions on the journey, and continue to be our companions today. A journey shared is a burden shared.

May we remember to Walk Gently Together….

A Reading from Matthew’s Gospel (4:18-22)

Jesus was walking by Lake Galilee. He saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Simon’s brother Andrew. The brothers were fishermen, and they were fishing in the lake with a net. Jesus said, “Come follow me. I will make you fishermen for men.” At once Simon and Andrew left their nets and followed him.

When we are called to follow Jesus….

Response: I will walk with you

Upcoming Dates:

  • 11th October: Prep Level Mass (9:15am)
  • 1st November: All Saints Day Mass (9:15am)

Have a wonderful holiday!

The Art Show held last week was a tremendous success.  Congratulations to the students for their works of art, the teachers and all involved in setting up and displaying the art work.  A job well done!!

Not much news from the Parish particularly as we start to wind down with Term 3 coming to an end this week.  We wish all our school families an enjoyable break.  Enjoy the upcoming warm Spring weather and if you are going away, please take care and stay safe.

We look forward to seeing you back next term with our major event of the Fete to be held on Saturday 7th October.  Please note that on Saturday 7th October there will be no morning mass, reconciliation or 6pm evening mass.  Mass will however, be held on Sunday 8th October at 9.00 am in the Church and 5.00 pm in the Chapel.

Holy Spirit is a child safe Parish.  We hold the care, safety and well being of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our Parish.
