Tamworth Schools Combined Staff Meeting
On Tuesday afternoon, teachers from across St Edward's, St Joseph's and St Nicholas schools in Tamworth came together for the first in a series of combined schools staff meetings. St Edward's hosted staff teaching in Early Stage 1 and Stage 1, St Joseph's hosted staff in Stage 2, and St Nicholas hosted teachers in Stage 3.
The purpose of these meetings is to create opportunities for the staff to collaborate with others who are teaching the same grades at the different schools. Through this collaboration, staff are able to share their expertise more widely with each other as we all collectively continue to work in improving Catholic education across Tamworth. An afternoon of engaging and supportive conversations allowed staff to explore new ideas and strategies to support the learners in their classrooms. We are looking forward to our next combined schools staff meeting in Term 4.
Term 3 Student Learning Progress Meetings
Final chance to book - cycle closes Monday 4th September @ 9 am
All parents and carers are invited to meet with their child's teacher during week 9 or 10 of this term to discuss student progress and next steps in learning. This meeting will build on the information shared in the Semester 1 report from the end of Term 2 but, more importantly, it will be an opportunity to discuss current student goals in literacy and numeracy and how the students could be supported at home in meeting these goals. Please note all students are invited to these meetings and are welcome to take an active part in the discussion about their learning
Parents can use the Compass app to navigate to the conferences section in order to book an appointment to meet your child's teacher. If you need any assistance in booking an appointment, please make contact with your child's teacher or the school office. The booking cycle will close at 9 am next Monday (4/9/23).
