Pope Francis has established September 1st, as the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, encouraging the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home. The day is inspired by Pope Francis' landmark encyclical Laudato Si’, which calls on "every person living on this planet" to care for our shared Earth. Our students will pray together and reflect on ways they can care for the earth.
Please remind your child that the Early Bird Reading Club is on each day from 8.30am. This is an opportunity for students to get in some valuable quiet reading time. Every chance to read personal choice books can only help reading development and building reading abilities.
At Infants there is always an opportunity to read with the library staff. Stickers, books and lots of congratulations are always available. At Primary it is quiet independent reading in a warm comfortable space.
