Arts
Over the last several weeks, students throughout the school have been working with clay to create different artworks.
In Prep, we read the story Handa's Surprise and made our own fruit bowls using pinch pots.
In Year 1/2, students planned a symmetrical butterfly design and then transferred their plans to ceramic butterflies. Once these are complete, they will decorate our quiet, sensory garden area.
The Year 3/4 classes used different methods to build a ceramic bowl. Students rolled sausages, spirals and balls to construct a pattern for their bowls.
Year 5/6 students used blending along with score/slip/stick techniques to construct ceramic flowers. These will hopefully be ready for display at the Beaufort Show when the time comes.
