Dear Students, Parents & Guardians,

A big thank-you to the families and staff who have donated to our Fiji Kidz drive. We have been blown away by the generosity shown by our school community. Susie was rapt and excited to see the donations and was keen to share the good news with Bina, a teacher at Lomary Catholic Primary School.

Susie has sent a picture of the first lot of donations already on its way to Fiji. The drive will continue one extra week (it will end on the 6th of October, end of week 1, term 4) so please feel free to use the school holidays as an opportunity to see if you have spare objects at home to donate.

We encourage students and families to look around their house to donate any left over stationary that they no longer need. Such as:

  • Old suitcases (medium or large size)
  • Exercise books - students/teacher/families could cut out the front pages and donate the rest
  • Leftover stationary such as grey lead pencils, erasers, sharpeners, textas, crayons
  • sports equipment such as rugby balls (rugby is very popular at the school)
  • books, puzzles, pencil cases, new glue sticks, rulers, sticky tape, scissors

Please see the attached images created by our students to explain what items we need and an optional letter writing task to complete at home. Your child/ren are welcome to write more than one letter.

Yours sincerely, Melanie Sanderson on behalf of the SRC & Eco Warriors

Thank you in advance.
