Year 11 Art 

Year 11 Art students have been studying a unit of work on images of conflict. They looked at a variety of artists including Goya, Ben Quilty and Picasso. Experiments were completed first in a variety of mediums on a smaller scale. Students were then were asked to use one or more of these images to create a larger piece showing a conflict of their own choice.

Year 11 Art students have also been experimenting with the use of different mediums. As part of this, Kaan Refikogullari has been creating a body of work titled ‘issues of conflict’ that demonstrates the use of these mediums and their application. This painting is Kaan’s interpretation of Ben Quilty’s ‘Eyesing’ painting using a palette knife and impasto medium.
