Junior School News

Year 3 to Year 6

Junior School Update

Another busy couple of weeks in the Junior School. Here is a snapshot!

Year 3 Learning Space

The Year 3 students are halfway through their Geography and Writing unit. They have been travelling around Australia learning about the states and territories, researching different landmarks, features as well as flora and fauna emblems. The students are in the process of publishing our information reports on our chosen state or territory.

In Religious Education, we are learning about the Eucharist and the Sanctuary within the Church. The Sanctuary is a sacred place for celebrating the Eucharist and is the front part of the Church where the Priest stands and the Eucharist occurs.

Year 4 Learning Space

The Year 4 Learning Spaces are feverishly working on their Design Technology Projects where they have to construct a bridge using paper, tape and string. This bridge must be able to take the weight of a toy car or even something heavier.

All of the Year 4 students enjoyed some yummy cake following their beautiful Eucharist Celebration on Sunday 20 August. It was the perfect culmination to a special time spent together.

Year 6 Learning Space

The students have been working hard on their Asian Country Travel Expo project. They are working on to displaying information about land features, location, food and language on Wednesday during Open Night.
