Connect: Year 3
December 2025
Welcome to our final Connect of the year in Grade Three! To say that this year feels like it has flown by would be an understatement! We would like to extend a massive thank you to our wonderful community for an excellent year of teaching and learning. These students have just been a joy to have in our community and we are so grateful to share this time with them. Thank you for your support and we hope you all get a big rest and chance to spend some time together this festive season.

What's happened this past fortnight?
Although the year is winding down, we have still been busy bees in our classrooms! We have loved doing 'Colour Poetry' - see some INCREDIBLE examples below. We have also been hard at work designing a portfolio to safely store our artwork. We have also worked on a grade work of art, with mini cartoons of ourselves! We refreshed our number skills and team work by playing board games, puzzles and general Maths riddles! Finally we wrapped up our unit on the First Contact, collecting facts and learning about different points of view.
Links for the Holidays!
Over the upcoming summer holidays, it will be very important to work on retaining number facts and some light reading. Many websites have free resources to help practise these online or you could print some things out and practise too! We have also included some free links of what's on in the Frankston Council this festive season.
