Year 6

Camp
Our Year 6 students have just returned from their exciting City Camp!
We explored Melbourne’s key landmarks and soaked up all the learning experiences the city had to offer.
Students visited places such as the Melbourne Zoo, Old Melbourne Gaol, Queen Victoria Market, IMAX, and Luna Park, while also building independence, teamwork, and confidence.
City Camp is a highlight of the year, and we can’t wait to hear all the stories and memories they bring back!
Scrapbook Expo
We invite all families to join us on Monday 8th December at 2:45pm-3:15pm for our Year 6 Scrapbook Expo.
Students have been working hard to reflect on their primary school journey, capturing memories, achievements and special moments in their personalised scrapbooks.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their creativity and growth. We look forward to welcoming parents and carers into the classroom to see the amazing work they have produced!

Reading to the ELC children
Our Year 6 students have been busy planning, writing and illustrating their very own children’s storybooks. They have shown wonderful creativity in designing characters, crafting imaginative plots, and bringing their stories to life through detailed illustrations. This week, students had the special opportunity to visit the ELC and read their completed books to the younger children. It was a heart-warming experience that allowed our Year 6s to share their work, practise expressive reading, and connect with our littlest learners. We are incredibly proud of the effort and care they put into this project!
Hillsmeade High
Last week, our Year 6 students took part in Hillsmeade High, a special day that gives them a taste of secondary school life.
Students rotated through a range of high school-style subjects, including Food Technology, Psychology, Science, Media, and Visual Arts. They had the chance to work in different spaces, try hands-on activities, and experience the routines and expectations of a high school timetable. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, explore new learning areas, and get excited about the transition to Year 7.
