Chicken Update

Hello to all the wonderful school families!

As the year winds down and our feathered friends dream of a quiet summer, we're on the hunt for some amazing new families to join our team of Chicken Carers! Think of it as a low-commitment, high-reward gig with adorable, fluffy perks!

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept):

• Wake up the ladies 🌅 (Let them out in the morning).

• Tuck them into bed 🌙 (Put them away before sunset).

• The Reward? You get to be the lucky recipient of any fresh eggs they lay while under your care! 🥚🥚🥚

It’s seriously that easy! I'll give you a quick, training session to make sure you know all the finer details. Plus the chicken WhatsApp group is full of very supportive peeps.

I'm getting ready to draft the new roster for the Summer Holidays AND Terms 1 & 2 (2026), so if you're ready to embrace the chicken life, text me at 0413218761 and let me know you're keen!

🥕 Calling All Vegetable Superheroes! 🥦

Got a fridge full of veggie ends or doing some gardening? Our feathered girls are professional food recyclers, and they LOVE a gourmet meal! The more fresh veggies they eat, the healthier and happier they are! Drop your excess scraps off at the school anytime.

• 🏆 Chicken Favourites: Anything green is a winner! Think crunchy lettuce, leafy spinach, cucumber, green beans, weeds, plus grades, cherry tomatoes, and sweet corn.

• ⚠️ The 'No-Fly List' (Please Avoid!): Potatoes, avocado, and the onion family are a no-go. They also give citrus fruits the side-eye 😒.

• Weed Warriors! If you're weeding or spot some on your walk to school, toss them over the wooden fence—it's their favorite snack!

Face Painting At The Picnic

Our crew of volunteer face painters are ready to spread some colour and cheer again at this Friday’s FORPS picnic on the green oval.

Designs cost $5 each and all funds raised go towards our school. Please pay at the food/drinks stall first, then line up at the face painting stall.

Cash and card payment will be available.

There will be new festive designs to choose from for your face or arm, in addition to all our popular designs from the RPS fair.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The Great Rosanna Uniform Swap!!

Do you have a pile of RPS uniforms you don’t know what to do with?

Would you like to swap them for different sizes or items?

Then come along on Friday 5 December in the afternoon to the art room, and swap your uniforms. We are going to hold the swap from 3:00-4:00 so that parents and carers who want to come before the bell can do so.

How will it work?

Bring your unneeded uniform items along. We will accept all uniform items. They don’t have to have a RPS logo.
Uniforms must be clean, and in good condition.
Our helpers will quality check the items and give you tokens for swapping
- one token per item donated
- 4 tokens for the specialty polar fleece jackets
Have a look through the items and exchange your token(s) for an item(s) of uniform
If you would like to purchase items, second hand uniform will be also available for sale as well.
- $5 per item (worth one token)
- $20 for the polar fleece jackets (worth 4 tokens)
- This is keeping in line with the existing prices the uniform shop charges for second hand goods

A special note: we seem to always need the larger uniform sizes (size 12 and up). If you have any of these items to swap, please bring them along. We will also take donations of these larger sizes too. So if you don’t want to participate in the swap, but want to clean out your wardrobes, then please leave them at the office.

Swapping Terms and Conditions

Please only bring items that are in good used condition. No rips or stains and please make sure they are clean.
Donating an item for the event does not guarantee a swap in return, although we do have vouchers for next swap if you can't find anything you need.
Swap depends on availability of items for swapping.
Swaps cannot be returned after the event.
Swap tokens have no financial redemption value.
All left over uniform items will be retained by the school for use in the second hand uniform stall.
