News from our Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,
Â
As the winter months settle in and the cold mornings and long days are upon us, it is more important than ever to look after ourselves and our loved ones. Cold weather often brings an increase in colds, flu, and other seasonal illnesses, so here are a few gentle reminders to help keep our school community healthy and thriving.
𧟠Healthy Habits at Home and School
Encouraging good hygiene is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of germs:
Wash hands regularly with soap and water, especially before eating and after coughing or sneezing.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow.
Keep hands away from faces, especially eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stay home when unwell to rest and recoverâand to protect others.
Packing a small hand sanitiser and tissues in your childâs bag can also be a great help!
đ Rest, Nourishment, and Warmth
- Make sure your child gets plenty of sleepârest is essential for a strong immune system.
- Offer nutritious meals with lots of fruits and vegetables to support overall health.
- Dress in layers to stay warm and dry, especially on chilly mornings.
đ Patience and Kindness Go a Long Way
During winter, itâs common for teachers and staff to also be away due to illness. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these times. Relief and casual staff do a wonderful job stepping in, but routines may shift slightly. Your support helps us maintain a positive and caring environment for all our students and teachers, remembering that teachers have families too!
Â
Letâs continue to work together to keep our school community safe, healthy, and compassionate this winter.

đ A Special Prayer Request
Please keep our Year 3 students and their families in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time next week. This is a special and sacred moment in their faith journey, and we are proud of their commitment and reflection.Â
