Maternity Leave

We extend our warmest wishes to Mrs Lauren Molluso as she begins her maternity leave at the end of next week to prepare for the arrival of her little one. This is such a special and exciting time, and we know she’ll be embracing every moment leading up to the big day.

While we will certainly miss her presence at school, we’re thrilled for her and look forward to welcoming her back once she’s ready. In the meantime, we wish her a restful, healthy, and joy-filled leave.

The entire Corpus Christi community sends love and support during this wonderful new chapter!

Building Update

Demolition works commenced yesterday, so the pathway in and out of the front of the school was closed. Access will now be granted via the double gates on the paddock in the mornings and afternoons. The 'pick up zone' will shift slightly to accommodate the change.

Disabled Parking

Please note that the three carparks running adjacent to the paddock are now reserved for  'Disabled Parking' only. Please respect this.

Due to the increased traffic congestion, especially at the Ormond Road entrance to the school, we kindly request that parents collect their child(ren) from the gated area. We don't want children crossing the road by themselves or being called across the road by family members.

We will monitor the procedures carefully and adjust where necessary.

Teaching Rounds

Next week, both Miss Letitia and Miss Olivia will undertake a 3-week block of teaching rounds as part of their studies and pre-service development at their designated schools. We wish them well and look forward to hearing their stories upon their return.

School Closure Day

Don't forget that next Friday, 6th June, is a School Closure Day: Staff Professional Development Day.

As a staff, we will be examining and redeveloping our behavioural support strategies and policies. Students do not attend on this day.

Save the Date – 2026 Community Fair!

We have exciting news to share—please save the date!

On Saturday, 14th November 2026, we will be having a Community School Fair that brings together the Kingsville and Yarraville Parish communities. In collaboration with St Augustine’s and Annunciation Primary Schools, this event aims to unite parents, staff, students, and the wider community for a day of fun, connection, and community spirit across our Parishes.

The Project Leader for the event will be Sophia Garro from our PFA committee.

To get started, we are calling upon one parent volunteer from each school to form the Executive.  As part of this team, you’ll play a key leadership role in organising and delivering the event, supported by a dedicated Sub-Committee of volunteers.

If you’re passionate about community events and enjoy working with others, we’d love to hear from you!

📧 To express your interest, please email thyde@cckingsville.catholic.edu.au by Friday, 6th June, including:

  • Your Name

  • Mobile Number

  • Email Address

  • A brief description of the skills and attributes you can bring to the Executive Team role

Once the Executive Team is in place, we will reach out to all parents, staff & students to create a Sub Committee of volunteer roles within Marketing, Hospitality, Entertainment, Finance etc. These teams will be the heart of the Fair and essential to its success.

Stay tuned—details on how to join these volunteer roles will be shared in upcoming newsletters.

Let’s come together to make this a memorable event for all!

Have a wonderful week.

God Bless

Anthony Hyde
