From the Deputy's Desk

Mr Steve Beacham

Semester 1 Reports 2025

End of Semester One reports will be emailed at the beginning of Term 3 and students will receive a printed copy in Week 2. This will form the basis of their goal setting in their PDP classes. This goal setting is particularly important as students cumulative Term 3 achievements are the foundation for Awards Night recognition in Term 4.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

The Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 29 July (Term 3 Week 3). Online bookings through the Parent Portal in Daymap will open on Monday 14 July. Information on how to login and book using your Daymap account will be provided with the report card. If you have never logged in before, simply click ‘forgot password’ and enter your email address and reset a new password.

Parents are reminded that their Parent Login will not work if the school has the same email address for multiple parents. Please contact the school office to update your contact details or request support to access Daymap.

Staffing

The end of Term will mean some staffing and timetable changes. We welcome back Ms Miller from maternity leave. Students will be issued their ‘new’ Semester 2 timetables at the start of Term 3.

While sometimes class changes are inevitable, we continue to encourage you to discuss the importance of students showing respect to all adults in the school, particularly relief staff. It is a difficult time with many staff and their families with illness which makes relief teachers invaluable in being able to provide a continuity of curriculum for students. When students value and respect the teacher in front of the class, regardless of who it is, respectful relationships and productive learning environments flourish.

Semester 2 Preparations

Please use the holiday break to check students’ equipment and resources. Pencil cases, notebooks, calculators and uniforms (including ties and shoes) may need replacing or updating.

We also encourage you to check the health of your students’ laptop and charger. Laptops are to be kept in the carry bag provided or in a protective cover. Please ensure that students are taking their responsibilities for the safe care of their laptops seriously.
