Ministry
At Endeavour, we are continually Pursuing an Excellent Community with God. One where staff and students are valued, encouraged, and empowered to grow.
Strong communities don’t happen by accident. They are built when we believe in one another, create space for others to contribute, and commit to growing together. Whether it’s in a group project, a chapel team, or daily friendships, excellence comes when everyone is invited to take part.
At the heart of our thriving community is grace. We all have good days and bad ones.
We succeed and we mess up.
But the way we treat ourselves and others, offering forgiveness, support, and second chances, sets the tone for the culture around us.
I recently came across a story that demonstrates the kind of culture we want to create:
A wise woman travelling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day, she met another traveler who said he was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveller saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveller left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman. “I’ve been thinking,” he said. “I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you will give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone.”
In our community, we want to treat others so well that others want to know what it is that makes us able to be kind, to be generous, to be forgiving and to love. While this most powerfully comes from Jesus, we know that every single student and staff member is called to live this kind of life.
At its best, Endeavour is a place where everyone feels safe to grow, fail, and be challenged. It’s a place full of grace, purpose, and joy.
So, what kind of community are you helping create? And what’s one small step you can take this week to make it even better?

The next day he (the Samaritan) took out two denariiand gave them to the innkeeper. “Look after him,” he said, “and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.”(Luke 10:35)
