From the Principal

As we draw a busy and rewarding week to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights and share important updates from across the College.

First and foremost, this week our College proudly competed in the SASCA Rijken Cup tournament, an event eagerly anticipated by many of our student athletes each year.

While the tournament officially wraps up later this afternoon, we’ve already seen some outstanding results: both our boys’ and girls’ netball teams placed 2nd, boys’ soccer finished 4th, girls’ soccer 5th, and our basketball teams delivered standout performances, both securing 1st place finishes.

A heartfelt thank you to our Health and Physical Education department, along with the dedicated teachers and Learning Support Officers who invested their time, energy, and enthusiasm in coaching and supporting our students throughout the week. As the coach of the boys’ soccer team, I can personally attest to the commitment, emotion, and effort that coaching entails.

It’s a privilege to contribute to the development of our students’ sporting abilities, to work alongside such a passionate team, and to share in both the triumphs and the learning moments that sport brings.

To our student athletes, thank you for representing Endeavour with humility, integrity, and pride, both in victory and in defeat.

Another important development this week was the City of Salisbury’s Urban Services Committee Meeting on Monday.

Alongside our Executive Project Manager, I provided further detail on the Junior Campus traffic management plan and the revised footbridge branding. The discussions were constructive, and while final approval is still pending, we are pleased to have received in-principle support.

Looking ahead, I’m very much looking forward to joining many of you at tonight’s performance of the 2025 Cabaret, Route 66.

This sold-out event is a highlight of our calendar, celebrating the creativity, talent, and passion of our music students. It’s always a joy to see our students shine on stage and to share in these special moments with staff, families, and our wider community.

Events like these remind us of the richness of school life beyond the classroom and the importance of celebrating the diverse gifts within our student body.

In other news, the Australian Government recently announced an Anti-Bullying Rapid Review. The review will assess current approaches to addressing bullying in schools, identify what is working well, and explore areas for improvement, with the aim of developing a consistent national standard for responding to bullying and its underlying causes.

The review is now accepting submissions from students, parents/carers, teachers, school leaders, and others involved in school education. To provide feedback, please visit: www.education.gov.au/antibullying-rapid-review.

This site includes instructions on how to participate, as well as the review’s terms of reference. We encourage you to share this opportunity with your networks. For any questions or concerns, you can contact the review team at ABRRConsultations@education.gov.au.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and our College. It is the shared dedication of families, staff, and students that makes Endeavour such a dynamic and nurturing place to learn and grow.

And to the fathers from Good Shepherd heading off to the Men and Minors camp this weekend, I look forward to seeing you there!
