Principals Message

I am excited to announce that starting in Term 4, Narrandera High School will be partnering with the Stars Foundation to support our female Indigenous students in achieving their full potential.
The introduction of the Stars Foundation into Narrandera High School has come about following the consultation and support of the Narrandera AECG and the Narrandera High School Aboriginal Education Team.
The Stars Foundation is a national organisation dedicated to empowering young Indigenous women through education and personal development programs. Their goal is to provide opportunities that help students build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills, creating pathways to success in life and beyond.
The Stars Foundation operates over 60 academies across Australia, with seven located in New South Wales. This initiative aims to create a supportive environment for our Indigenous students, helping them to navigate their educational journeys and prepare for future challenges.
Stars Mission Statement
To support and enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to make active choices towards realising their full potential in all aspects of their development and wellbeing.
Stars Purpose
To improve education, health and employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women.
Recently, the Regional Manager, Natalie Pangquee, and General Manager, Ian Taylor, of the Stars Foundation visited our school to meet with staff, students, and community members. We are excited about the positive impact this partnership will have on our students' lives.
As we move forward, Stars have begun their recruitment process for a Project Manager and a Mentor who will be integral to the success of the Stars Foundation program at our school. These roles will focus on guiding and supporting our students throughout their participation in the program.
For more information about the Stars Foundation and their recruitment process, please visit their website at https://starsfoundation.org.au/. We look forward to seeing the positive impacts this partnership will bring to our school community.
All staff members have successfully completed professional learning in High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) at the start of Term 2. HPGE focuses on enhancing the educational experience for students with high potential across four key domains: intellectual, creative, social, and physical.
To further support our students, a dedicated HPGE team has been established. This team will actively seek opportunities to engage and challenge students in all four domains. We look forward to sharing more information about upcoming initiatives and programs in the near future.
