Primary Creative Arts Afternoon

On Wednesday 28th May, our school came alive with creativity as we celebrated the Primary Creative Arts Afternoon, centred around the inspiring theme of "Community."

Students eagerly contributed their artistic talents by entering pieces of artwork for the Primary Art Competition. These remarkable creations showcased exceptional creativity, skill, and ability, reflecting the passion and dedication of our young artists.

The celebration extended to the stage, where students performed a series of musical items. The afternoon began with a powerful performance from the Primary and Secondary Combined Ensemble, setting the tone for a fantastic display of musical talent. Following this, students took to the stage for vocal and instrumental performances, both individually and in groups, impressing the audience with their musical abilities and enthusiasm.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs Judith Clark for her dedicated coordination of this special event, along with Mr Robb Dennis, Mrs Mandi Scott, Mrs Madeline Newton and Mrs Ema-Lee De Haan, whose invaluable support made the day a resounding success.

The Primary Creative Arts Afternoon was a true celebration of artistic and musical expression, bringing our school community together through creativity and talent.

Finding Nemo Jr - Cast Announcement

In 2025, DCS Primary will be bringing the beloved story of Finding Nemo Jr. to life on stage! This production promises to be a fantastic opportunity for all students from Kinder to Year 6 to showcase their talents and be part of an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Rehearsals commenced last week following the announcement of our Main Cast, who are already diving into their roles with enthusiasm and dedication. Ensemble groups will be revealed in the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to see the entire cast come together to create something truly spectacular!

A special thank you goes to Miss Rebekah Shurley, Mrs Tammy Davies, and Mrs Robyn Angliss for their incredible dedication, guidance, and wisdom throughout the Main Cast audition process. Their commitment has been instrumental in shaping this production and giving our students the chance to shine.
