Foundation

In Term 2, Foundation have had an exciting and busy time learning and participating in lots of fun activities.

Literacy

In Literacy this week, we have been busy exploring some new sounds: y, x, ch, sh, th. We have also been learning about consonant blends and are learning to recognise and read these within words. 

Foundation have been wonderful in practicing their writing. They have been recognising and writing the letters as they sound out words. We also have been focusing on practicing writing sentences using finger spaces, full stops at the end of sentences, and capital letters at the start of sentences. It has been great to see their confidence grow!

Numeracy

In Numeracy, we have been learning that two or more parts can combine to create a whole number.  Foundation have enjoyed exploring our Friends of 10 using hands on materials and applying their new addition understanding to solve various problems.
