Level 4

What a busy fortnight we have had in Level 4 with school photos and Open Night!
Writing
In Writing, students have been fine tuning their persuasive writing using emotive language, modality, rhetorical questions, rule of 3 and statistics. Students are currently using these techniques to plan an oral presentation to present to their grade.
Reading
In Reading students continue to research invisible disabilities and what inclusiveness means using their reading strategies of summarising, connecting and inferring. Our class novel 'Malala' gives students an insight into an upstander and they are using extracts to compare and contrast with their every day lives.
Maths
In Maths students have been exploring the terms length, area and perimeter using different units of measurements. They have been applying formulas and learning to calculate the area and perimeter of irregular shapes.
Inquiry
In Inquiry students are learning about the challenges faced by people when living with a disability. They are learning to identify sensory, physical and cognitive disabilities and how they can show compassion when including others in day to day activities.
