Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.

Welcome to Week 6 of Term 2

Time continues to pass very quickly! We are past the half way mark of the term and teachers are busy writing Semester 1 reports which will be published throught the PAM portal at the end of term. Please check you have access.

Australia's Best Teacher

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) are currently running a campaign to recognise and celebrate the wonderful teachers at the heart of Catholic education in Melbourne. I encourage you to get behind this campaign- see our Learning and Teaching page for ways you can nominate a teacher at St Peter's.

Camp Australia

I met with Camp Australia recently and was told the sad news that our holiday program is no longer viable to run, with numbers being too low. Before and After school care is not at risk but we do need numbers to increase. Please read the information below and see if this is a service that could work for you in emergencies or on an ongoing basis. We do have many children arrive before the 8:30am scheduled time- there may be an opportunity for you to use Camp Australia before school. We also have some children who are picked up after 3:25pm in the afternoon. Again, Camp Australia may be able to assist you. Our wonderful coordinator Farahana is available to answer any questions you may have.

Learning Expo and celebrating 70 years of St Peter's school

This term we are celebrating 70 years of our wonderful school! Students have been immersed in studying History and finding out about our school. We will be holding a learning expo on Wednesday 2 July as part of St Peter's Feast day celebrations. The school will be open from 2:10-3:10pm for parents to come and have look at all the wonderful research that has taken place. More information will be coming soon!

The P&F are hosting a family disco event on Friday 27 June to bring the community together to celebrate. Tickets will be going on sale soon through Trybooking.

Further celebrations for our 70 years will be a historical timeline available to view in the community centre from Sunday 29 June. Ms Trish has been compiling key moments in the life of the school.

Please save these dates in your diaries!
