- PrePrep Priority Cohort: If you believe your child may be eligible for the PrePrep Priority Cohort, please let us know as soon as possible. Details about eligibility were shared in an email sent last week—check your inbox or contact the Kinder if you need it re-sent.
- Spread the Word: If you know any families who are considering Kindergarten in 2026, please encourage them to get in touch with us soon. Early enquiries give families the best chance of securing a place.
Thank you for helping us plan ahead and continue building a strong and supportive community for our future learners!

Lasiandra Music Education Incursion
On Monday 24th June Lasiandra were very lucky to have an exciting visit from Silk String Music.
The incursion was interactive, engaging, and educational, with a focus on creativity, coordination, and cultural exposure. It supported development in auditory discrimination, fine motor skills, and collaborative learning.
The children engaged in a variety of activities that build foundational musical skills, including:
Rhythm Development
o Body percussion: Using clapping, stomping, and snapping to internalise beats and patterns
o Percussion instruments: Exploring different percussive sounds using a variety of classroom instruments
o Musical patterns: Recognising and repeating rhythmic motifs and simple structures
o Sound exploration: Understanding how rhythm and sound shape musical expression
Singing with Solfege
o Introduction to solfege (do–re–mi) as a tool for pitch recognition and musical literacy
o Singing simple melodies to reinforce ear training and pitch awareness
o Group vocal exercises to promote listening and coordination
Art Trail - Waratah
It was so lovely for our Waratah group to be able to do the School Art Trail on Thursday! So many talented artists at Vermont PS!! The children loved seeing all the wonderful artworks as well as exploring different parts of the school AND even getting to meet some of the Artists!
We can't wait to see what the kinder children decide to create back at kinder after seeing all of the wonderful inspiration.
Gardening
We have started to replant some of our large pots with some winter herbs and native plants this week. The children have loved helping to dig and place the plants in gentling, as well as watering them.
