This term in Humanties, Level 1/2 students will be learning about their local area through our Georgraphy unit 'Our Community'.

Students will learn about the features of their local area, including weather and season, peoples' attachment to these places, and how places can change and be cared for. 

Students will be examining and creating maps and models of their local area, be able to explain why some places are special and important, discuss weather and seasons, including the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island seasons, and explore places we connect with in Australia.
