Term 3
We are already a third of the way through this term and it is set to be an incredibly busy and action-packed Term 3!
School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
At our Week 1 Curriculum Day staff commenced work to examine our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) practices. The NEMA SWPBS coach, Daniel Ioannides, kicked of the day to outline how the SWPBS framework brings together school communities to develop positive, safe, supportive learning cultures. Our Learning Specialists for Student Wellbeing and Engagement then facilitated workshops with our staff to gain their insight into current practices and identify areas to strengthen.
This term, in line with the work staff have undertaken on our Vision and Values, we will review Concord School’s Mission Statement, refine our multi-tiered systems of support, define behaviour expectations for various contexts to build a matrix and review our behavioural data collection system on Compass.
Pyjama Day
Staff and students across the school wore their favourite PJ's, onesies, trackies, hoodies and oodies to raise money for National Pyjama Day, bringing in a gold coin donation. To support The Pyjama Foundation to raise much-needed awareness and funds for children in foster care. Thank you to everyone involved. We raised a wonderful total of $317.50 for a very important fundraiser.
Secondary 7/8 Spectacular!
Our Secondary 7/8 students are rocking out at rehearsals to prepare for this year’s Spectacular, Rock and Roll All Night! It is sure to be a fabulous show!
Welcome to Hollywood, where your dreams of becoming a famous musician may come true! Rock out to all of the classics in a journey back in time, where legacies are written in cassette tapes and the fashion is as loud as the music. It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll!
