Room 8 Animal Inquiry:

Mele James wanted me to share with you what our incredible kids in Room 8 have been up to: 

This term,  Room 8, Y2 class,  took the lead in their own inquiry-based learning! When asked, "What do you want to learn about?" they overwhelmingly shared a deep curiosity about animals.

This excitement launched us into a fantastic investigation where we explored: 

Different types of animals.

The diverse places they call home (habitats).

What they need to survive in their surroundings (adaptations).

The children then dove into researching various habitats and how animals are perfectly suited to their environments.

The final, creative step was to re-create a habitat for the animals they were most curious about.
