Don’t forget to pick up your orders from the front office when you receive a notification that they’re ready. There are many orders awaiting pick up. If you would prefer your order be sent home with your child, please enter that request with name and class of child in the NOTES section of payment. 

Carnevale Wrap Up

Thank you to Penny (Prep & Year 2) and Megan (Year 2) for organising the pizza and gelato lunch for Carnevale Day. Thank you also to all the volunteers who joined us on Thursday morning to pack up more than 500 pizza slices and 325 gelato cups. The staff room was overrun with pizza boxes!

Thank you for your support. We hope all the kids enjoyed their special Carnevale lunch. 

Thank you for a fantastic Semester 1! 

We have had a wonderful first half of the school year with many successful PIC events helping to foster our St John’s community and raise valuable funds to enhance our children’s school experience. 

Over the last six months, the PIC has welcomed our new prep families at the New Families Welcome Night; celebrated mums and special people at the Mother’s Day Stall and Lunch; fed the students pancakes, pizza and gelato; raffled off Easter baskets; cooked and served 90kgs (!!) of sausages at the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle; hosted a Democracy Cake Stall; and saved hundreds of uniform items from landfill through the Second-hand Uniform Shop. 

Thank you to every St John’s family who organised, donated, cooked, baked, served, ordered and packed items. Together, our efforts have helped raise more than $10k so far this year! 

We have already seen PIC fundraising money go towards the new GAGA pit in the yard and new drying racks for the art space. The school is still assessing feasibility of soccer goals, and we await requests for more wish list items from the teachers and the SRC students.

We are excited to hold many more successful events in the second half of the year, including a chance for parents to have a night out in October, and the much-anticipated Colour Fun Run in November.

Seeking sponsorships, donations and expertise support

We know we have an amazing community encompassing all types of businesses and skill sets. We would love to engage our community in school activities and initiatives. Perhaps your business is able to financially sponsor an event. Maybe you have a holiday home and can offer a stay for a silent auction. You might be a graphic artist who can produce an eye-catching poster. You might even know vendors we could reach out to for sourcing goods.
