Student Wellbeing and Engagement

As mentioned in our previous newsletter, Springvale Rise Primary School has recently begun implementing the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework—an evidence-based approach that promotes positive, safe, and inclusive learning environments where both students and staff can thrive.

At Springvale Rise, our expected behaviours are aligned with our core school values: Collaboration, Excellence, Resilience, and Respect. We are currently trialling a draft SWPBS Behaviour Matrix, which clearly and positively outlines the behaviours we expect from all members of our school community.

To acknowledge and reinforce these positive behaviours, students receive tokens and verbal recognition when they demonstrate actions that reflect our school values. We encourage you to ask your child/children about the positive behaviours they’ve been recognised for—it’s a great way to celebrate their efforts and reinforce these important values at home!
