School Advisory Council – Expressions of Interest

Our School Advisory Council (SAC) plays an important role in supporting the ongoing growth, direction, and wellbeing of our school community. Working in partnership with the Principal and Parish Priest, the SAC strengthens communication between families, parish, and school, and provides informed advice on school planning, priorities, and community needs.

Membership on the SAC requires individuals to be current parents or guardians of students at our school. We are committed to ensuring the Council reflects the diverse representation of our community, and we warmly encourage parents from a range of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to consider applying.

The SAC meets approximately six evenings per year. Members are expected to complete some pre-reading before each meeting and come prepared to contribute thoughtfully. A key responsibility of SAC members is to represent the voice of the wider parent community, supporting the school’s mission and contributing to forward planning.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from parents and guardians who would like to contribute in this advisory capacity. Your expression of interest should include:

  • Your name
  • The name and year level of your child/ren enrolled at the school
  • A brief note on why you wish to join the SAC
  • The strengths, skills, or experiences you can offer
  • How you hope to contribute to the ongoing growth of St Andrews

Please submit your expression of interest directly to me via email principal@saclaytonsth.catholic.edu.au by Monday 1 Decemember

Thank you for considering this valuable opportunity to serve our school community.

Regards

Brian Martin
