The Tradition of Year 12 Graduation Dinner

For those who may not know, Loreto College has a beautiful tradition where our Year 11 families come together each year to organise the Year 12 Graduation Dinner as a gift to the graduating Year 12 students and their families. In turn, when your daughters reach Year 12, the tradition is passed on, and you will be celebrated in the same special way. It’s one of the most meaningful and community-inspired events in our Loreto community calendar.

This year was no exception as we had Year 11 parents and Year 11 students volunteer to help in the lead-up planning, setting up, bar service, waitressing and packing down on the night, and we are so grateful for their contributions in making this such a memorable evening for the Year 12 families.

Thank you to the following volunteer students: Ava D, Lucy D, Evie B, Alice R, Gracie T, Grace C, Portia K, Jemma M, Madeleine H, Nellie P, Hannah R, Emma S, Aleeza K, Elisa F, Albina M, Alexandra K, Eva S, Jasmine E, Amelie R, Caitlin L, Kaysii O, Grace M, Amelia S, Allyson K, Charlie S, Milla S, Aimee L and Matilda H.

Thank you to the following volunteer parents: Anita Bellon, Anita Marino, Christopher Roper, Jackie Roper, Jo Clifford, Livia Keros, Lyn Heard, Samantha Dachs, Sarah Clark, Stephanie Gibbs, Andrew Heard, George Keros, Joe Marino, Maureen Davis, Sally Day, Nathalie Pfeiffer, Edwina Hoskins, Angela Di Lorenzo, Marianne Zappia, Susannah Katdare, Christina Lynch, Karena Lovering, Grant Lovering, Tennille Cobb and Nafsika Saric.

A huge thank you to Anita Marino and Livia Keros, who so generously led the Year 11 parent committee in bringing to life the incredible “Queen of Loreto” theme. The love, creativity, and care this wonderful group of parents poured into the event was a true testament to their generosity and community spirit. We’re so grateful to all the families who came together to make the evening so special, and we can’t wait to return the favour next year when it’s your turn to be celebrated!

Fathers and Friends Lunch

Last Sunday, we were excited to host the annual Loreto College Fathers and Friends Lunch at the beautiful Ayers House. It was a wonderful occasion celebrating our vibrant community, and we are so grateful to all the Dads and special friends of the College who came along to share in this special afternoon.

The event was a collaborative effort, made possible by the generosity and enthusiasm of so many within our community. We extend our thanks to the individuals and businesses who donated such fantastic prizes and auction items—your support is invaluable to the College.

Our afternoon was MC’d by parent Simon Dennis, with the live auction conducted by Tom Rayner, whose energy kept the bidding lively and fun. A very special thank you also goes to parent Adam Lampit, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate another sensational Mega Raffle and an array of outstanding auction items.

We were also fortunate to have our Chief Operating Officer, Luigi Viscariello run a Q&A with special guest and old scholar, Rosina Di Maria from Woods Bagot. Rosina shared inspiring stories from her days at Loreto through to her exciting global career as an interior designer—a true testament to the opportunities and spirit that a Loreto education inspires.

The afternoon had a wonderful buzz, with plenty of laughter and conversation—it’s always lovely to see our parents connecting outside of the daily school routine! Most importantly, our guests were incredibly generous, contributing significantly to the AV upgrade in the Performing Arts Centre, a project that will benefit our students for years to come.

We extend our sincere thanks once again to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make this event such a success. It was a joyous celebration of community, connection, and the enduring Loreto spirit.

Autumn Fair Planning Meeting

On Monday, 1 December at 6.00pm, we’ll be holding a special Autumn Fair 2026 Planning Meeting, led by the P&F Committee. The meeting will take place in the Acacias Boardroom, and we warmly welcome all P&F members, class representatives, and parents to come along and be part of this exciting event. Next year’s Autumn Fair will be held on Sunday, 29 March 2026. This much-loved biennial event brings our whole school community together for a fun-filled family day, with each year level running its own stall, proudly organised by families from that cohort. It’s always a vibrant, community-spirited day that everyone enjoys being part of!

We hope to see you at the planning meeting as we start preparing for another exciting Autumn Fair in 2026.

Keeping Talbot Grove Safe for Everyone

We ask all parents to please support safety on Talbot Grove. Vehicles must not stop to drop children off, as this creates dangerous bottlenecks. Please take extra care when crossing the road and ensure all traffic rules are followed at all times. Your cooperation helps keep our students and community safe.
