Premier's Reading Challenge certificates
Certificates for students who completed the 2025 challenge have now been sorted by class and will be delivered to YLC Leaders this week. Please could classroom teacher hand them out. Names of students will then be read out in the whole school assembly in Week 9, since individual certificate presentation would take too long.
Thank you!
Rachel

More Toilet Talk on the JC...
The toilets on the JC continue to pose a challenge regarding respectful behaviours.
Thanks to Eglantine for creating these social stories which can be used in all JC classes to pre-teach and revise expected behaviours (French / English). A copy will be printed for each class.
If you have not yet taught the Wellbeing lesson around positive behaviours in the bathrooms, please add it into your planners for Week 7. Merci!
DIBELS Data
Thank you to all those English teachers who have put their DIBELS data into the spreadsheet. It gives us as a school a clear indicator of how students are tracking. This will help with transition too as you can use it for 2026 to make classes, discuss student needs, and group students in your new class with a similar focus.
Can all teachers please enter these DIBELS results by the end of Week 7.
If you need help entering the data or completing DIBELS, please reach out to me.
In Week 10 or 11 I will come around to collect the DIBELS folders. This way I can make sure they are stocked with everything needed for 2026 and they go to the new teachers in the year level. Please remove all student work from the folder prior to this and put them in the student transition folder
Thank you everyone for giving DIBELS a go this year. I hope you found it useful. If you can please fill out this quick DIBELS SURVEY then we can get some feedback on how you have found it and make any changes for next year.
