The Hoppet - Joey Race

On Saturday we had quite a few of our students enter the 7km Joey Hoppet held at Falls Creek.  It was a bluebird day with a perfectly groomed course starting and finishing in the Falls Creek Nordic Bowl and is a scenic anti-clockwise loop of  Sun Valley.

Students who register made up 3 teams for the Schools Team Challenge in the following categories, 2 male (or mixed) and 1 female team.

With their individual times proving to be very competitive, we are pleased to share and congratulate;

• Olli on placing silver in the males under 12's
• Gene winning gold in the male under 8's, and
• Ari taking out the bronze in the male under 8's

We are also proud of Sebastian, returning to us in term 4, for a bronze medallion in the male under 14's.

As a bonus, participants in the Joey Hoppet are eligible for four $1000 AGL Junior Development scholarships awarded to the fastest Australian boy and girl skiers aged under 14 and under 18 years. The age category is calculated on the age they turn this year.

We are eagerly awaiting these final reports to come through to us.

Jump Rope For Heart

The weather again is not in our favor this week, and our jump off rescheduled for today has been shifted to Tuesday 2nd September at 2:30pm.  We still hope families are available to come along and support the students on what they have been learning and practicing the past serval weeks.
