4A: Alysse Pirovano (Team Leader)

Hello everyone, my name is Miss Alysse. Next year will be my 6th year teaching at SMPS. I am so excited to be teaching Year 4 in 2026.

When I’m not at SMPS teaching the best students in the universe, you can find me reading, cooking, going to Pilates and catching up with friends. I also love spending time relaxing with family up in Yarrawonga during the holidays. I love travelling and exploring new places whenever I get the chance.

4B: Nadeeka Pussalle

Hi SMPS families,

My name is Miss Nadeeka and I will be teaching Year 4 in 2025. This will be my 13th year in teaching and my 8th year at SMPS. I love coming to work each day and being surrounded by the lovely SMPS community. 

I was born in a small rural town in Sri Lanka and moved to Australia when I was three years old. 

I love hiking, reading and gardening. I recently became an aunty and over the school holidays I am looking forward to lots of cuddles with my baby nephew, who is just 2 weeks old!

I am looking forward to another wonderful year at SMPS and getting to know you and your family. Have a safe holiday and see you in 2026!

4C: Miranda Fletcher

Hello SMPS students and families, 

My name is Miss Miranda, and I will be teaching Year 4 in 2026 and I am super excited for my first full year at South Melbourne Primary School. 

I grew up in sunny Western Australia, surrounded by beaches and blue skies. I was always outside soaking up the sunshine. When I wasn’t outside, I was dancing, acting and singing or spending time with my litter sister and friends.

I moved to Melbourne at the beginning of 2025, and I have already been enjoying all the lovely and entertaining food, theatre, footy and events that Melbourne always has on offer.

I am looking forward to all the fascinating things we will getting up to in 2026.
