Hi Everyone,

I’m Mr. Colin, the Business Manager at South Melbourne Primary School. In my role, I oversee Finance, Human Resources and Facilities, working closely with our office and leadership teams to ensure teachers and students have the resources and support they need for a world-class learning experience.

As both a staff member and a parent at SMPS, I bring a unique perspective to the staff–parent relationship. I’m passionate about finding ways to continually improve our school for the benefit of all children.

Having worked in more than 30 schools across Victoria, I can confidently say SMPS is the best place to work, and the best place to send my own children. We are fortunate to have such dedicated teachers, committed support staff, engaged parents and amazing students who together make our community exceptional.

If you have any questions about parent contributions or financing extra-curricular activities such as camps and excursions, I’m always happy to help.

Hello SMPS families!

I’m Kirsty Reynolds and have been part of the SMPS Admin team for a long time now! I look after our Administration Office and all our new enrolments, which means I get the privilege of meeting all our new families before they start at SMPS.  I also help out our volunteers with events, and generally do any other task that Mr Noel and the Leadership team need me to do!

My husband Michael and I have three children, Lachie, Tommy and Olivia so they keep us on our toes!  Outside of work I love to cook (and eat!), I enjoy reading and I play social netball. I live near the beach, so I also love taking long walks with friends. I’m very excited to be back at school to welcome our newest family additions and catch up with all our current students and families.

Hi I’m Emma and I work at the reception at SMPS.

I look forward to seeing all our current families and getting to know all our new families in 2026!

You’ll see me at the front desk assisting you with your everyday queries, supporting student attendance, sick bay, and if you don’t get the chance to see me at reception you will most likely hear me at the other end of the phone helping you wherever I can.

A few things about me is I enjoy weekends with my family and my dog as well as camping and taking any opportunity to explore Victoria.

I look forward to seeing you all sometime soon.

Hello South Melbourne Primary School community,

My name is Zoe and I work in the school library on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. I have the wonderful job of keeping the library stocked with great books, assisting students when they visit the library and all the other tasks that come with running a school library.

I grew up in Melbourne and live with my husband, two children and our cat Astro. I enjoy spending time with my family, running, cake decorating and of course reading! I have a lot of new books waiting to be borrowed when school returns and look forward to seeing everyone in the library next year.

Hello, I'm Sean and I work part-time as the School Facilities Maintenance Officer. Reporting to the Business Manager and the admin team, I help keep the school running smoothly by maintaining the building, equipment, and outdoor areas. I take pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where students and staff can focus on learning.

I’m new to Melbourne and Australia, having recently moved from Scotland, and I’m excited to become part of the school and local community. My sister is a teacher at the school, and I’m enjoying spending time with her as I settle into my new surroundings. Outside of work, I’m a keen cyclist and look forward to exploring Victoria by bike.

Hi everyone!

My name is Jo, and I am excited to continue with the SMPS team as the First Aid Officer. My priority is contributing to a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

I worked as a GP in the emergency room and critical care unit in private and public hospitals back in Indonesia. Outside of SMPS, I am studying for a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Melbourne. I am excited to bring my knowledge to support school safety.

A little bit about me: I am a cat person who loves to paint and crochet. I also enjoy riding bikes here in Melbourne. Looking forward to meeting you if I have not yet, and enoying the responsibility of taking care of your children.
