Prefects' Update

Xanthe Staniforth and Ollie Jarick

Dear Kinross Wolaroi families,

Last Friday, the DPA came to life with a vibrant and well-attended exhibition of our Year 12 Textiles and IT major works. Throughout the day, visitors were able to view a wide range of thoughtfully designed and technically impressive projects, reflecting months of dedicated effort from our senior students. The evening was a particular highlight, featuring a runway event where Textiles students proudly presented their garments in a professional and creative display. Meanwhile, IT students from younger years also had their innovative projects set up around the DPA, offering an inspiring look at the talent developing across all year levels.

In the world of sport, our First Netball team delivered a strong performance in a closely contested match. Narrowing a previous 20-point loss to just a 2-point difference, the team showed great determination, teamwork, and growth. A big thank you goes to all who came to support from the sidelines — your presence was very much appreciated.

Also over the weekend, several of our boys rugby teams travelled to Bathurst to take part in their final games of the season. With division placings on the line, our players brought strong energy and commitment to the field, ending the season on a high note, and demonstrating great sportsmanship throughout. Additionally, the rugby girls came back from Canberra with another win under their belts, however their season is not over yet with finals still to come.

Lastly, our Year 12 cohort has now entered the Trial HSC exam period. A noticeably studious atmosphere has taken hold across common spaces and classrooms, with students engaging seriously in their preparation. We wish them all the best as they continue striving toward results that reflect their hard work and set them up for the final term ahead.

Kind regards,

Xanthe Staniforth and Ollie Jarick
