As I was just going through the newsletter to proof read it, it dawned on me as to what a busy term this has been. So much going on in the classrooms, outside of the classroom walls and outside of the school! No wonder everyone is looking forward to a well earned break to recharge and get ready for a busy Term 4. Scary to think that there are only 11 weeks of school left for 2025.
A personal highlight for me this term was taking the students to Lake Keepit. It was lovely to be with the children in a different environment and to observe them navigate different challenges, activities, people and routines. They are all such wonderful humans and I was very proud to be their Principal.
Another highlight was on Wednesday, when I took the students to Kentucky Public School to watch their performance of The Jungle Book. The delight and enjoyment on the student's faces watching the play was a joy. It was gratifying too, to receive quite a bit of feedback on how well presented our students were in their uniform and how well they used their manners and were very respectful.
Also lots of highlights in the classroom too with some students reading moving ahead in leaps and bounds. I have had some fabulous 'teaching moments' this term with some of the learning really starting to click into place for the students. Nothing better than witnessing that moment when 'the penny drops' and you can see the understanding written on the childrens faces. It's the best! Many personal goals have been achieved too which the students should be very proud of.
Just a quick shout out to the amazing staff for another great term at Niangala Public School and to the parents/carers for all the support you provide the school and to your children. They are a great bunch of kids!
Hope that everyone has a lovely break over the holidays, hopefully accompanied with some lovely spring weather.
