Athletics Carnival

What a fantastic day at our Athletics Carnival, with outstanding House spirit, participation and enthusiasm on display throughout the event. Students supported one another with pride and encouragement, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere all day. A special thank you to our House Captains, Sports Captain Paige Patterson, student leaders and staff for their hard work and organisation. Congratulations to all Age Champions and runners-up on their outstanding achievements, as well as all the students who will progress through to the Diocesan Athletics selections.

Diocesan Soccer Gala Day

Congratulations to all the boys who played soccer at the Armidale Catholic Schools Soccer Gala Day. The Junior Boys won 3 of their 4 games, just falling short of the winning title. The senior boys claimed the victory and will now move on to play the winners from the Lismore Diocese at a Finals Day in Coffs Harbor in July.

Diocesan Teams Tennis Championships

On 20 May, Ruby Bull, George Claxton, Jack Abbott and Cahill McIntyre, proudly represented our College in the Diocesan Tennis, at a very chilly SportUNE tennis complex. All four students played some great tennis throughout the day, with a mixture of wins and losses. Ruby, competing against older, more experienced girls, improved with each match and won her last game, playing some beautiful tennis. Cahill and George had some classy victories in their singles encounters, while in the highlight match of the day, George and Jack prevailed to down the might of St Mary's in their doubles game. Jack, with the result on his racquet, served it out to the excitement of the crowd.

NSW PSSA AFL Championshop Carnival

Angus recently attended the NSW PSSA AFL Championship Carnival in Tamworth and had a fantastic experience over the two-day event.

During the carnival, he umpired seven games as a goal umpire, was selected as a boundary umpire for a major semi-final, and was also invited to be the Runner for the North West team in their final game. Being asked by a former coach to support the team in this role was a special highlight.

The carnival provided a great opportunity to build his umpiring skills and gain valuable experience. Umpiring can be a tough job, but he carried out his duties with respect, confidence and a positive attitude throughout the event.

Congratulations on representing both the school and the region so proudly!
