VCE Results

McClelland College is proud to celebrate the amazing academic achievements of our all-conquering Class of 2024!

Some statistics that we are particularly proud of include:

  • A Study Score median of 30 (above state)
  • An ATAR median of 75.70 (well above the state median of 69)
  • A median Study Score of 33 in English
  • A median Study Score of 30 in General Maths
  • Plus a number of other amazing results from our other Year 12 subjects!

There were some outstanding individual results also, most prominent of which was our DUX for 2024, Stephanie Armstrong,

who attained Study Scores of 37 in Philosophy, 37 in Literature, 40 in History Revolutions and an astounding 48 in English, culminating in an ATAR of 95.55!

Steph has had a phenomenal journey at McClelland College, which started six years ago in 2019.  From the very beginning, she has been an avid learner, achieving a swathe of Academic Excellence awards and green Compass posts during her time at the College.  On top of her outstanding performance in her VCE subjects this year, Steph also completed a university enhancement subject in Aboriginal Studies and Anthropology at La Trobe University as a part of the CHES program.  Her dedication to learning is underpinned by the fact that she did not miss a single day in 2023, and only missed one day in 2024!  Stephanie played her cards to absolute perfection this year, juggling her academic pursuits with her extracurricular commitments, including taking on the Vice Presidency of the McClelland College Interact Club, as well as the coveted role of Green House Captain.  A proud Palawa woman, Steph has been a wholehearted advocate for Indigenous students during her time at the College, with teachers applauding her for her leadership prowess.  Next year, Steph hopes to study a double degree in Arts and Media Communication at Monash University as a pathway into becoming a journalist.  We wish Steph all the very best, and look forward to seeing her fantastic achievements continue over the years to come!
