And just like that, we are back!
Our children are back, ready to reconnect at St Paul with their friends, our staff, our environments and their learning.
So many reunions and yet so much is different as well.
Our classroom might be different, the people in my classroom might be different and what we are going to be doing at school is different as well.
With so much change, our children (and us adults) can experience lots of hard to have feelings like feeling uncomfortable, worried, nervous, shy, embarrassed and more.
Alongside these also come lots of nice to have feelings. We might feel excited, loved, happy and friendly.
It can be a very confusing time with so many conflicting feelings, big changes and new adventures.
Through all of this, we want to encourage our children to acknowledge the trickiness, to recognise their hard to have feelings and to also recognise the nice to have feelings and the positives that can come out of the new adventures that 2025 will bring.
To help us all we have an amazing team of staff here at St Paul to support, guide, encourage and celebrate with. We cannot wait to be a part of your 2025 learning journey.
We have our incredible friends who are such a great support to our children and to us as parents and staff members.
There are also our families who have done so much to help all of our children at home during the holiday break. We look forward to working with you this year.
Finally, we have God walking alongside us every step of the way. In Paul's letter to the Philippians (4:13) he speaks of his confidence that "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." With his boundless love, our father in heaven is supporting, guiding, encouraging and celebrating all that we achieve every day and he is there for us as we start this new year.
I pray that you have a blessed start to the 2025 school year and that you and your children may feel God's presence as you start on the new adventures this year will bring.
