End of year reports

End of year reports were published this week and I hope you have had opportunity to reflect on your child's achievements and growth this year. By using the Continuum as a companion to reports you can see your child's next steps across the Literacy and Numeracy curriculum which means both you, your child and their next teacher has a clear picture of what is next. I also want to take the opportunity to remind Grade 6 and exiting families to ensure that all reports are downloaded to your own files from Compass as after the end of year rollover you will no longer have access to your Compass account.

Kalinda Giving Tree

The generosity of our community at this very busy time of year is appreciated and we were proud to make such a large donation of lovely toys, books, and Christmas Stockings this week to Uniting. I'd like to thank Fleur from Uniting, as well as ex-family Charlye and Melynda for helping us to channel our kindness to a worthy cause.

The Holiday Season

I know that whilst the festive season is a time of fun, family and joy for many families it can also be challenging in lots of different ways. I hope that you will find some time to value your own wellbeing as a parent and human being. Remind yourself that it is ok to prioritise rest and that acts of love and caregiving are some of the most wonderful gifts you can give. If your bucket feels depleted by your own or world events, look for examples of kindness in your immediate and global community as a way of bolstering your feeling of belonging and joy and encourage your children to do the same.

You matter a lot to me and I look forward to seeing you soon, I hope that you and your family have a restful break.
