Meet & Greet Discussions

Meet & Greet Parent Teacher Discussions are a first and important step for classroom teachers to get to know your child, and an opportunity for families to share their knowledge of their child with the teacher. All families are strongly encouraged to book and take this opportunity to meet your child's teacher/s.

A Meet & Greet Response Sheet was sent home with your child this week, and also shared in your Compass News Feed, with a request for you to complete and return the form to facilitate your conversation with your child’s teacher. The completed form was due back to your child’s teacher in a sealed envelope today.

The Meet & Greet Discussions will occur next week, from Monday 10 February. Each teacher has sufficient bookings available for each family in their class to have a 10 minute conversation about their child. If the proposed times do not suit your schedule, or a longer conversation is required, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher to arrange another mutually agreed time after the scheduled Discussions have concluded. We are committed to working with you to find a suitable time. 

Where your child is in a dual teacher classroom, it may not be possible for you to meet with both of your child's teachers at this meeting. If a longer conversation is required, we request that you make an arrangement for an alternative date and time with your child’s teacher on a date after the Meet & Greet Discussions have finished.

Specialist teachers and learning support staff will be available in their specialist rooms, and you are welcome to drop in and talk with them; no booking required. 

As advised yesterday in your Compass News Feed, bookings are now open in Compass. We recommend logging in on a web browser, then click the link in the green box titled Parent Student Teacher Conference on the top right of your home screen. Click the black button (Show me how to book) for guided instructions, if required. Refer to page 26 of the Compass Parent Guide if required.
