As we begin to wrap up another busy term, I would like to take a moment to recognise and express our gratitude to Anna Patterson, who has made the decision to resign from her role here at our school after an extended period of leave.
Anna has been a dedicated member of our school community for an incredible 28 years. Throughout her career, she has worked across all levels, leaving an indelible mark on both our students and staff. From her early days in Physical Education to her most recent position as Assistant Principal/Religious Education Leader, Anna’s contributions have been numerous and far-reaching.
Her influence extended beyond the classroom. She has worked closely with many different staff members, collaborating with various principals, and has built lasting relationships with multiple generations of local families. It is clear that Anna’s dedication to the school community has played a pivotal role in shaping the inclusive, vibrant culture we cherish today, and contributing the redevelopment of our school facilities, most notably "THE SHED" (gymnasium).
One of Anna’s most memorable moments, which many of you will recall, was seeing Mrs Allaway run with the Olympic torch through our school grounds during the Sydney Olympics. This moment, symbolic of the community spirit Anna so actively nurtured, will remain etched in our memories as a true highlight.
Your contributions, Anna, have been invaluable to us all. We are grateful for the years of service, leadership, and passion you’ve shared with our school community. While we are sad to see you go, we wish you nothing but happiness and success as you continue your teaching journey in both primary and secondary education.
With just three more days of school left, I want to remind everyone to finish strong, stay focused, and make the most of these final days before the holiday break. Let's continue to support each other, wrap up any outstanding assignments, and head into the break with pride in all we've accomplished this semester.
Bons moments
Liz
