Hello Fyans Park Families,

We’re excited to celebrate Week 4 of Term 1 at Kelly Club Fyans Park with a vibrant and engaging Chinese New Year themed week. The children will enjoy a mix of cultural discovery, creative activities, movement, and hands on fun as we learn about this special celebration together.

Here’s what the children can look forward to this week.

⚽ Monday – Kelly Sports

We’ll begin the week with an energetic Kelly Sports session. The children will enjoy active games that encourage teamwork, confidence, and lots of movement to kick off the week in a fun way.

🏮 Tuesday – Lantern Craft

Creativity will shine as the children design and make their own Chinese New Year lanterns. This activity supports fine motor skills and allows children to explore traditional colours and decorations.

🐲 Wednesday – Chinese Zodiac Discovery

Curiosity takes the lead as the children learn about the Chinese Zodiac. They’ll explore the different animals, what they represent, and discover which zodiac animal matches their birth year.

🎨 Thursday – Dragon Mask Craft

The children will create colourful dragon masks, learning about the importance of dragons in Chinese New Year celebrations while expressing their creativity and imagination.

🍊 Friday – Lucky Fruit Cups

We’ll finish the week with a fun and healthy cooking activity by making lucky fruit cups. This is a great way to talk about symbolism in Chinese New Year while enjoying a tasty treat together.

Each day also includes healthy afternoon tea, outdoor play and group games, as well as homework support and quiet wind down time.

We’re looking forward to a joyful week full of learning, creativity, and celebration and can’t wait to share it with the children.
